Management styles can be broadly categorized into four types. In this program, we examine two types – paternalistic and collaborative. Observed through the eyes of a waiter, as two groups of employees and their managers arrive for their regular Friday business lunch, the characteristics, benefits and disadvantages of each style are examined.
The program provides a springboard for further discussion regarding management styles in relation to the diversity of staff found in any workplace.
